Rod Stewart is STILL the man!
I attended the show at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion with a friend of my Mother, my 12 year old daughter and her. First, I loved that we saw that same bridging of generations everywhere! The show itself was amazing! He puts on a very energetic feast for your eyes, ears and soul to enjoy. During a wardrobe change we were treated to 'Proud Mary' done in Ike & Tina fashion and it was nothing less than spectacular.
He is a timeless classic! I have to say that over all this was one of my favorite shows to attend and I have seen quite a few in my 35 years. The video screen behind him with the introduction and then with things that would play through the show was a treat. I love the feel that the white stage mixed with the costumes of an era from times past gives. We were all fans of Rod Stewart despite our difference in years which is one thing so special about this entertainer.
The back-up dancers were amazing, too! I heard everything I was hoping to hear and of course with the encore of Maggie May I was truly in awe of this amazing artist. What a gift to have his music in out lives!
